IHMS- Specialists in providing care in challenging environments

IHMS provides healthcare to Transferees under the Nauru Health Services Contract with the Australian Department of Home Affairs. IHMS has been providing services to the Nauru Regional Processing Centre since 2012 and under the Nauru Health Services Contract since 2021.

Personnel and Infrastructure – IHMS provides health and medical services to Transferees living in the Nauru Reception Facility and the Nauru community. IHMS has developed a flexible staffing model which allows us to scale up and down our workforce in order to efficiently meet the fluctuating demand on healthcare services for Transferees in Nauru.

Covid Services

  • COVID-19 Outbreak Plan

    IHMS successfully manages COVID-19 at the Reception Facility in Nauru with the implementation of an Outbreak Management Plan and measures including screening, COVID-19 vaccination program, education sessions, excellent infection control practices and ensuring access to anti-viral therapy.

  • COVID-19 Staff Safety

    IHMS ensures the safety of all staff operating with potential exposure to COVID-19 and maintains required PPE and testing supplies. IHMS collaborates with multiple stakeholders including the Nauru Department of Health to ensure the best outcomes for patients, staff and facilities.

  • COVID-19 Vaccination

    IHMS provides vaccinations for Transferees in Nauru against COVID-19. IHMS tracks all vaccinations administered, orchestrates follow-ups for all multi-dose vaccinations, monitors adverse reactions, organises all vaccine ordering and logistics, and manages the complexity of cold chain management.
